After studying Event Management, Racheal is back with her new events & entertainment business: Star Rae Productions. Specifically aimed at creating unique and themed events, Racheal is pleased to announce the start of the Star Rae Revue and the Miss Burlesque Competition.
The Star Rae Revue is a cabaret burlesque show that will be run over the next six months, starting on 26 July 2009. Check out the website for more information!
MERRYCHRISTMAS! Racheal is currently singing Christmas Carols with the Brisbane City Sounds Barbershop Chorus. If you’re lucky, you can catch her at Indooroopilly Shoppingtown singing with the group in the week leading up to Christmas.
She also recently completed the Intermezzo 1 Burlesque Dance class with Lola the Vamp; as well as received First Class Honours in her Ballroom Medals with Coll’s Dance Studio (Mt Gravatt) where she danced two showcases: Cha Cha Cha (Latin) and Charmaine (Modern).
Unfortunately, although having a lovely holiday in New Zealand, Racheal has had to pull out of the Ignite “Showstoppers” Concert due to illness. She apologises to those who were looking forward to seeing her on stage again – but she will certainly keep you posted on her upcoming productions!
Now that the Eisteddfod season has finished for the year, Racheal has been jumping back into film productions, as well as rejoining Ignatians Choir for their second Showstoppers Concert, to be held in November.
Racheal has been spending the past few months concentrating on her singing voice, not to mention much of her time being spent in the organisation of her birthday party held at the Tivoli Theatre in October.
Racheal is now working towards a musical theatre career, and is spending a lot of her time singing – she recently performed in the Ignatians IGNITE “Showstoppers” Concert, and is currently in rehersals for another production due to play in late March 2007.
It’s all been quite for the first half of 2006, with Racheal spending a fair bit of time on set of a new Sci-Fi Feature Film being shot around Brisbane. Due to wrap mid 2006, Racheal has had little time to work on much else.
However, she did accept a small role in John Wikman’s latest production “Soundsations” which is currently performing at the Wonargo Cultural Centre, Northgate, until Saturday 03 June. She also had her photo in the Northside Chronicle (check them out at www.newsphotos.com.au) , although was not credited!
Racheal has returned to Beenleigh Theatre’s stage to play Pongo in the not-so-well known musical – “Footrot Flats”. After a successful opening weekend, the show is likely to be a sell-out!
Also, at the end of August, Racheal was involved in a short film called “A King’s Mistage”, a story set during the war about two sisters. Filming went well, and it currently in editing. It will be entered in film festivals around the place, so stay tuned for more!!
If you also keep an eye out on TV for the new Dreamworld commercial, you won’t see Racheal, but if you see Wags The Dog (from Wiggles) then you can guess who’s behind the mask!
